About subjects.in
Who teaches what, near you: a register of tutors and coaching centres across India, kept by hand and by a reader that visits each tutor's own website.
Where the entries come from
Two places. Tutors and centres write to us or fill the form, and we enter what they send. And our reader visits the websites of tutors and coaching centres that name their subjects and city, and records what the site itself says: subjects, levels, how they teach, fees, phone and email as published there. Every entry names its source and the date it was read.
What we do not do
We take no fees from tutors or families, make no bookings, write no reviews and rank nobody as "best". Counts on the register are entries on record, nothing more. A contact detail appears only as the tutor published or gave it; an entry is removed on the tutor's request, by email.
Our reader
It identifies itself as subjects.in/0.1 with a link to this page, fetches one page per site at a time with a pause between sites, keeps a copy for six days so a weekly re-read is one request, and respects robots rules. Site owners who would rather not be read can write to join@subjects.in.
Your data
The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics scripts. The form stores what you type and the time; nothing else. Your choice of night desk stays in your own browser.
